ELECTION POLICY TRACKER
The vast majority of U.S. election policy is made at the state level. Every year, thousands of bills related to voting and elections are introduced in statehouses around the country, with the potential to impact millions of voters.
To follow these changes to voting access in real time, allow year-over-year comparison, and bring more transparency to an increasingly politicized issue, our team of policy experts has produced the Election Policy Tracker – a first-of-its-kind dashboard that tracks both existing election laws and current voting bills, providing detailed analysis of pending changes in all 50 states and D.C.
TRACKING A GROWING DIVIDE
The Voting Rights Lab is tracking this shifting landscape in real time, documenting two broad categories of legislation:
-
Policies that restrict or expand voting access, creating an atmosphere where one’s zip code determines their ability to cast a ballot.
-
Policies that interfere with the nonpartisan administration of our elections, changing the rules for political gain and sowing broad distrust in U.S. elections.
WHO WE ARE
The Voting Rights Lab is a team of seasoned policy, legislative, organizing, and communications professionals. Together, we bring decades of experience to bear on one of the most hotly contested and broadly significant political issues of our time.
